Zhob govt school clerk loses Rs23 lakh of students’ examination fee in online gambling

A government school clerk in Zhob district, Balochistan, jeopardised the future of over 800 students by gambling away Rs2.3 million of their examination fees.
Approximately 878 ninth and tenth-grade students at Government Model School Zhob are facing difficulties due to the unpaid examination fees.
Students deposited Rs23 lakh in the clerk's office as examination fees, but the suspect, identified as Shehzad Jamal, allegedly lost the money in online gambling.
Upon learning of the incident, the school principal filed a police report against the clerk at the Zhob police station. The police subsequently arrested the gambling clerk."
The school administration learned on October 26 that the accused had squandered 2,315,000 rupees.
The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced that the final deadline for matriculation fee submissions is October 30.
Students fear that late fee payments may jeopardise their ability to take the exams, causing significant anxiety among the school's students.
In response to student concerns, Balochistan Board Chairman Ijaz Baloch has granted a ten-day extension for the submission of examination fees for 878 students at Government Model School Zhob.
