Riyadh: International consultants have projected that Artificial Intelligence (AI) could potentially impact 17% of job roles in Saudi Arabia over the upcoming three years.

As reported by Arab media, Najla Najam, a seasoned business manager at an American consulting firm, emphasized that AI is poised not only to revolutionize work methodologies but also poses a potential for replacing human roles.

Insights from experts indicate that approximately 80% of jobs involving creative tasks could face disruption due to AI, with 53% of executive positions being vulnerable to automation. Moreover, the utilization of AI is anticipated to bolster the manufacturing sector by 10 to 30% over the next three years.

The study highlights that employees across the Middle East exhibit a heightened concern for productivity issues compared to their counterparts in other regions. However, organizations are expected to prioritize training initiatives to equip their workforce with skills pertinent to the evolving landscape.

A significant demographic at risk of displacement by AI comprises individuals born from the 1990s to the early 21st century, whose occupations could be rendered obsolete.

Oliver, the director overseeing Middle East affairs at a global consultancy firm, remarked that given the anticipated changes on the horizon, it's conceivable that 17% of jobs within the Kingdom will be supplanted by AI within the next three years.
