Google set to establish 50 'smart schools' in Pakistan

US tech giant, Google, is all set to establish 50 smart schools in Pakistan for several projects, including teacher workshops and youth training via Google Career Certificates.
The education facilities will be set up in the federal capital Islamabad.
The Google for Education team and its local partner met the Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to discuss the upcoming projects for Pakistan.
"50 smart schools will be equipped with 30,000 Google for Education IDs, including features such as artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools for enhanced collaboration and productivity," Radio Pakistan said in a statement.
The tech giant is also mulling to establish of a public Google Reference School in Islamabad.
2,000 youths will also be given job-ready skills via Google career certificates in order to make them able to earn for their families.
Google will also organise Edutech events in collaboration with the Ministry of Federal Education in Pakistan under the project.
