WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to see who recently viewed their status updates along with the associated privacy settings, according to WABetaInfo.

The update will function similarly to Instagram, showing small profile pictures of some contacts who have viewed the status, along with a total view count displayed at the bottom. This would allow users to check views without opening the full list.

In addition, the platform will begin displaying the selected audience for each status update, making it easier for users to track and confirm their privacy choices.

This is aimed at reducing mistakes when posting to different groups of contacts, particularly for those who frequently change privacy settings.

WhatsApp is also testing a revamped "About" feature that includes disappearing options. Under this update, users will be able to set their profile’s "About" text to automatically vanish after a chosen time period.

The new features are currently under development and are expected to roll out to Android users in future updates.
