Man shot dead in front of wife for resisting robbery in Karachi’s DHA

A 26-year-old man was shot dead by suspected robbers over resistance in Karachi’s DHA area on Tuesday.

Armed suspects attempted to loot a couple, who were sitting in their car in DHA Phase 8, according to the police.

When the man put up resistance, the suspects shot him three times, killing him on the spot.

The victim was identified as Haji Muhammad Adnan, who belonged to the Kalat district of Balochistan.

After the completion of medico-legal formalities, the police handed over the victim’s body to his family for his last rites.

The police took the car into their custody and shifted it to the Sahil police station.

Two days earlier, a similar incident occurred in Karachi's Orangi area where a cop's mother was shot dead upon resistance over a robbery attempt. The policeman also suffered injuries.

According to the police, a robber entered the cop’s home at 3am in the night, and when he tried to catch the suspect he opened fire.
