CCTV footage of Turab Zaidi's killing during robbery in Karachi emerges

Dialogue Pakistan obtained closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the fatal shooting incident at Karachi's Gulshan-e-Iqbal Chowrangi during a robbery attempt that had left one man dead.

In the video clip, three assailants, on two motorbikes, can be seen trying to rob the victim, identified as Turab Zaidi.

One of the dacoits fired the bullet at the 40-year-old when the latter showed some resistance.

The bandits, in the video, can be seen easily escaping the scene after committing the heinous crime.

As per the details, the victim was the father of three children and was working at a call centre in the metropolis.

The incident happened when Turab withdrew cash from an ATM located at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Chowrangi, police said.

The robbers hit a bullet on Zaidi's head which proved to be fatal for him, police added.

The ruthless dacoits have killed almost 59 people during the four months of the ongoing year and as many as 20 people have lost lives in the holy month of Ramadan.

According to reports, 6,780 street crime incidents were reported in the port city in one month.

Sources said that 20 vehicles were snatched at gunpoint and more than 130 others were stolen.

Almost 830 motorcycles were snatched and 4,200 others were stolen during Ramadan. As many as 1,600 mobile phones were snatched from the citizens in Karachi.
