Mother, two children found dead in Karachi's Surjani

KARACHI: A woman and two children were found dead, while an 18-month-old girl was injured in a knife attack at a house in Sector 7-D, Surjani Town, police said.

The deceased were identified as 34-year-old Mehwish, six-year-old Harba and five-year-old Haneen. The injured child was identified as 18-month-old Ashmira.

According to initial police information, Mehwish was the mother of the children. All four victims sustained injuries from a sharp-edged weapon.

Police, rescue officials and the crime scene unit reached the house after receiving information about the incident. The bodies were found at the scene, while the injured girl was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police have begun an investigation into the incident and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
