The family of Bilal Pasha, the chief executive officer of the Bannu Cantonment Board, who committed suicide by shooting himself, is still coming to terms with his sudden demise.

Pasha, a distinguished CSS officer, was found lying in a pool of blood at his official residence. He was reportedly suffering from mental stress.

Talking to a private TV channel, his father Ahmed Yar said, “My son never told me that he was distressed or had any stress."

“We are poor people; my son was not the son of a nawab. I miss my son's morals and love as he used to console me in a way that a father reassures his son," he continued.

Bilal Pasha hailed from Abdul Hakeem village in a suburb of Punjab’s Kabirwala city.

On the other hand, District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu Ismail Khan said that he had himself examined the place of the incident from every aspect, terming it suicide.

The deceased’s autopsy report also confirmed that he committed suicide by shooting himself in the head.
