The investigation officer (IO) in the Mustafa Amir murder case has filed the final charge-sheet against two suspects before an anti-terrorism court.
Prime suspect Armaghan Kamran and his accomplice, Sheraz alias Shavez Bukhari, were arrested in February in connection with the murder of Mustafa Amir, who went missing on January 6.
In his final investigation report, IO Muhammad Ali said that the last known location of the victim and the two suspects was Armaghan's house in DHA. He said that the victim had also informed his friend Rafay before going to the house, adding that Rafay's statement has been recorded.
The report stated that forensic tests confirmed blood samples collected from the crime scene at Armaghan's bungalow matched with those taken from the body recovered from a car in the Hub area.

It said that CCTV footage has also been recovered showing individuals cleaning Mustafa's bloodstains from a carpet.
The IO said that the suspects took Mustafa to Balochistan, with call detail records placing them near Hamdard University during the journey. Two eyewitnesses, a Suzuki van driver and a hotel owner, have recorded statements supporting the investigation, he added.
Further, CCTV footage showing the suspects returning to Karachi in a Suzuki vehicle has also been collected.
According to the report, Armaghan later led police to the spot where he allegedly set the victim’s car on fire. The report also claims the suspects admitted to calling Mustafa’s mother to demand ransom.
