Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti confirmed the arrest of 11 individuals in connection with the brutal daylight murder of a woman and a man, over a freewill marriage.

The shocking incident gained widespread attention after a disturbing video of the killing went viral on social media, prompting swift action from the authorities.

The couple was seen with a group of men exiting their vehicles in the desert. The men then pointed guns at the man and woman, who stood still, seemingly waiting to be shot. The couple was killed in cold blood, with the suspect firing multiple rounds at the victims.

In a statement issued on social media, CM Bugti said that both victims seen in the viral footage have been identified, and a major operation is underway to apprehend all those involved.

“So far, 11 suspects have been taken into custody. The state stands with the oppressed,” he asserted.

The Chief Minister further revealed that preliminary investigations indicate the double murder occurred a few days before Eid, although the video surfaced only recently.
