The family of Ibrahim Malik, one of the youths involved in the inhumane assault on a young man in Defence Phase 8, has issued a statement regarding the incident.
The brutal torture occurred within the jurisdiction of Sahil Police Station, where a young student named Ali Jaffery was abducted from Khayab-n-Bukhari by kidnappers and was taken to Do Darya for more than 2 hours.
According to family sources, they are “extremely distressed” over the situation and want to reach a compromise with the victim’s family.
The family claimed that Ibrahim and all the other youths involved were friends and studied at the same school. They said the dispute allegedly arose over Rs60,000 to Rs70,000.
“We are extremely worried and want a compromise,” family sources said, adding that they would visit Ali’s home in an attempt to settle the matter.
The family also appealed that legal action should not be taken against Ibrahim and the other youths involved in the incident.
According to the family, Ibrahim Malik is 22 years old. His father had disowned him in 2024 and excluded him from both movable and immovable property due to his conduct.
The family further claimed that Ibrahim had previously been involved in several serious altercations.
The statement comes amid an ongoing police investigation into the alleged assault, footage of which recently surfaced on social media.
