Elderly man dies after falling into open manhole in Karachi

An elderly man lost his life after falling into an open manhole in Karachi’s Federal B Industrial Area on Thursday.

According to media reports, rescue teams were alerted to the incident, following which trained divers of Rescue 1122 and an Edhi ambulance rushed to the spot.

Rescue officials said that the body of the man was later recovered from the drain.

The deceased was identified as 70-year-old Inayat. His body was shifted to a hospital to complete legal formalities.
