Faisal Edhi has responded to viral social media videos circulating online that allege mistreatment of children at Edhi homes.
He strongly rejected the claims and said that the organization’s reputation has been significantly damaged by these unverified allegations spreading online.
He clarified that the Edhi Foundation has always operated on principles of transparency, service, and child welfare, and stressed that misleading content can harm both public trust and the humanitarian work being carried out for thousands of vulnerable children across the country.
To address the concerns, he extended an open invitation to influencers, YouTubers, journalists, and members of the media to visit Edhi Centre Korangi at 11 AM on April 27.
He encouraged them to inspect the facilities personally, meet the children, and observe daily operations to understand the ground realities firsthand.
He further emphasized that the purpose of the visit is to ensure full transparency and allow independent observers to see the care being provided, the challenges faced by staff, and the actual conditions inside the facility beyond what is being portrayed online.
Faisal Edhi reiterated that conclusions should be based on verified facts rather than assumptions or viral narratives, and said open engagement with the media is the best way to address public concerns.
