Female student sexually abused in Faisalabad university's parking lot

In a shocking incident, a female student was allegedly sexually assaulted by a van driver in the parking lot of a private university in Faisalabad, media reports said on Thursday.

The victim, a Bachelor of Science student, alleged that the driver assaulted her inside a university van. She said that the suspect, identified as Adnan, threatened her with a pistol before committing the assault.

The police registered a case and arrested two university van drivers, Adnan and Owais, on charges of sexual assault and blackmail.

Officials revealed that the suspects had hacked the student’s mobile phone and obtained her personal photos. They allegedly threatened to leak the images online, and under blackmail, Adnan reportedly extorted five tolas (around 58 grams) of gold from the student.

The Investigating officer said that further investigation into the matter is underway.
