Ghotki female doctor 'cuts' young man's tongue, harms his eyes over marriage refusal

A shocking event in Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki, has sparked significant discussion on social media, involving a 50-year-old female physician who is alleged to have assaulted a young man after he rejected her marriage proposal.

Reports indicate that during the confrontation, the doctor inflicted severe injuries on the young man, including cutting his tongue and harming his eyes.

The situation gained widespread attention when a video depicting the injured young man circulated online, raising alarm and concern among viewers.

In light of the incident, SSP Ghotki Dr. Samiullah Soomro swiftly acknowledged the matter and initiated legal proceedings against the female doctor.

In an unexpected development, the doctor also approached the police station to file her own allegations. She accused the young man of harassment and extortion, claiming they had been friends for an extended period.

She contended that the dispute arose after he turned down her marriage proposal, after which he allegedly began to blackmail her, threatening to share her personal photos and videos on social media.

SSP Ghotki affirmed that the investigation would proceed based on the testimonies and evidence from both parties. He also noted that the decision to pursue legal action against the female doctor was made at her own request.
