Islamabad police arrest slain TikToker Sana Yousaf’s killer

Islamabad police have arrested the suspected killer of TikToker Sana Yousaf. The 17-year-old influencer was shot dead inside her home on Monday, and the arrest was made possible through CCTV footage and advanced technology.
According to the police, the accused in TikToker Sana Yousaf's murder, identified as Umar Hayat alias Kaka (also a TikToker), fled to Faisalabad after the killing before being arrested there.
Hayat reportedly described himself as a friend of the victim.
The assailant broke into the house and fired two bullets at Sana Yousaf, critically injuring her. She later succumbed to her wounds.
Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi lauded Islamabad Police for swiftly apprehending the killer of TikToker Sana Yousaf within 20 hours of her murder on Monday evening.
Taking to X, the Minister stated, "Well done Islamabad Police. Sana Yousaf murder case traced, accused arrested and weapon recovered within 20 hours." He added that the accused confessed to the murder, and police also recovered the weapon and the deceased girl's iPhone.
A CCTV footage surfaced on social media, showing the murderer fleeing the scene after shooting Yousaf at her home in Islamabad’s G-13 sector on Monday.

Amid ongoing speculation about the killing of 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousaf, the SHO of Sumbal police station in Islamabad, Malik Asif confirmed to the media that the murder of TikToker Sana Yousaf was not a case of honor killing.
