Karachi man sentenced to 14 years in prison for throwing acid on his wife

The Additional District and Sessions Court in Karachi sentenced the accused who threw acid on his wife to 14 years in prison.
Additional District and Sessions Judge East Elias Memon pronounced the verdict in the presence of the affected woman.
The court along with the sentence of 14 years in prison and also fined 1 million rupees on the accused, Kosar Abbas.
The court stated that the prosecution was successful in proving the accused's guilt during the trial.
This incident occurred in March 2021, and the case against the accused was registered at the Aziz Bhatti Police Station.
The affected woman stated that she finally got justice after three years, as her husband used to demand money for drugs and threw acid on her when she refused to give him money, causing half of her body to be burned.
