Man arrested for acid attack on former wife in Lahore

The Lahore police have arrested a man accused of throwing acid on his former wife's face in the Badami Bagh area, officials said.

The Badami Bagh police arrested the suspect, identified as Shakeel, for his alleged involvement in the acid attack. Initial investigations suggest that he threw acid on his former wife's face at her home.

The police said the victim is undergoing treatment at a hospital. The acid attack injured her lips, eyes and throat.

They added that further legal action against the suspect is underway in light of the medical report. Police have also recorded the victim's statement and registered a case.
