Students in Karachi are facing a challenging situation as they are forced to sit on the floor during their annual examinations due to a shortage of furniture at an examination center.

The incident occurred at a government school in Malir's Saudabad area, where students endured the hot and humid weather conditions while attempting their papers.

A video footage depicted the students seated on the floor, highlighting the lack of adequate seating arrangements.

Despite the school's capacity to accommodate 500 students, the Karachi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) designated it as an examination center for over 800 students, exacerbating the situation.

Upon contact, the controller examination said it is the responsibility of the centre superintendent to ensure facilities at the centre. Regretting the inconvenience faced by the students, the Karachi BISE official said they will take notice of the matter.
