In a distressing incident, a mother of six children was subjected to sexual assault at gunpoint by three suspects in Punjab's Kasur.
According to the FIR, the incident took place in Allahabad of Kasur, where the woman had gone to the fields to work when the three suspects took her hostage.
The FIR details that the suspects, identified as Rizwan, Salman, and Manzoor, held her at gunpoint and committed the assault. During this time, the suspects also recorded the incident on a mobile phone.
The husband of the victim accused the police of protecting the influential suspects by not conducting a medical examination or registering the assault under the relevant section of the law.
He further stated that the influential suspects were pressuring them to settle the matter. Upon refusal, they abducted his wife. Additionally, they are threatening that if a settlement is not reached, they will find his wife's dead body.
This tragic incident highlights not only the brutal nature of the crime but also the systemic issues within the local law enforcement, where the influence of powerful individuals hinders justice. It calls for immediate attention and action to ensure that justice is served and such heinous acts do not go unpunished.
