The mother of Mustafa Amir, who was killed by his drug dealer friend in Karachi, accused SSP Ali Hassan of protecting the culprit, Armughan. She said that instead of taking effective action, the police continued to smear her son's character.

Speaking to the media, Wajeeha Amir insisted that Mustafa’s murder was "pre-planned." She alleged that the suspects drove a car without a number plate to Balochistan, where they burned her son inside the vehicle so that “no one could hear the blast.”

“Mustafa was avoiding them,” she stated, claiming that the culprits had been planning his murder for some time but only managed to execute it on January 6.

She dismissed the notion that it was a "random dispute," insisting that her son was deliberately targeted.

“For 20 days, the police and SSP Ali Hassan continued to malign my son’s reputation instead of taking action,” she said, adding that she will ile an FIR against the SSP.

Accusing the senior police officer of working under external influence, she demanded that he be named in Mustafa’s murder case alongside Armughan.

“SSP Ali Hassan should be suspended immediately,” she urged, appealing to SSP Anees Haider to conduct a thorough investigation. She also expressed concerns that others, apart from Armughan, were involved in her son's murder.

Speaking about Mustafa’s car being without a number plate, she stated, “Mustafa never took his car beyond Defence without a number plate. Even when he visited the mechanic in Korangi, he would always put it on first.”

While admitting that her son made a mistake by not attaching the number plate before going to Armughan’s house, she questioned how a vehicle without a number plate and with tinted windows could travel to Hub without being stopped by law enforcement.

She emphasised that someone must have facilitated Armughan and Shiraz in their crime, questioning, “How did they manage to burn a body all the way in Balochistan and then walk back on foot for three hours?”
