A group of waiters working at a wedding hall in Lahore’s DHA area staged a dramatic burglary, stealing equipment worth millions. Police arrested the suspects involved in the heist.
According to Kahna Police, the incident occurred a few days ago when three suspects, employed as waiters, carried out the theft at gunpoint.
The stolen items included five AC chillers and two deep freezers, essential equipment for large-scale events. The suspects, identified as Chand, Babar, and Shan, were part of the hall’s staff and used their access and knowledge of the premises to execute the crime without raising immediate suspicion.
Qasim Ali, in charge of the Kahna Police Chowki, confirmed that police used modern surveillance tools and intelligence gathering to trace and apprehend the suspects within days.

He said that it was a coordinated effort, and the use of technology helped them reach the culprits quickly.
Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and revealed that they were in a business dispute with the wedding hall owner, as he didn’t pay their money, which allegedly motivated the theft.
Police believe the burglary was not just opportunistic but part of a broader fallout between the employees and management.
All stolen items were recovered from the suspects' possession. A formal case has been registered against them, and further investigation is underway to determine if more individuals were involved.
