A video surfaced on social media showing a Pakistani pilgrim confronting an alleged beggarwoman in Makkah, questioning her presence in the sacred premises of the Haram.
The man, who filmed the encounter, accused the burqa-clad woman of being a beggar from Pakistan, claiming that individuals like her tarnish the country's reputation.
It is worth noting that last year, Saudi authorities urged Pakistan to take strict action against beggars entering the Kingdom and desecrating sacred sites.
Many of them were also reported to be involved in criminal activities, prompting concerns over public safety and the country’s image.

Every year, several Pakistanis are deported from Saudi Arabia for various reasons, including fraudulent documentation, overstaying visas, and engaging in illegal activities such as begging.
A significant number of deportations are linked to organised begging networks.
In response, Pakistani immigration authorities have tightened measures at airports to curb the departure of individuals suspected of being involved in such activities, aiming to protect the country’s reputation abroad.

In the widely circulated video, the alleged beggarwoman was seen reacting aggressively to the man filming her, repeatedly shouting at him.
The pilgrim, however, insisted that people like her are responsible for the increasing scrutiny and stricter treatment of Pakistanis abroad.
Throughout the exchange, the man persistently asked the woman about her origins in Pakistan, but she refused to answer. Instead, she sat on the stairs while he continued recording.
