Woman physically assaulted by railway cop on train found dead

In an unexpected turn of events, the woman who was physically assaulted by a railway cop on a moving train was found dead near Chani Ghot Railway Station on Sunday.

The woman was traveling from Karachi to her home in Jaranwala in Millat Express on the night of April 7 and the incident took place near Hyderabad.  

According to the police, the railway police officer took her away after the assault.

The brother of the deceased, Afzal informed that she worked at a beauty parlor in Karachi and was returning home to celebrate Eid.

He demanded the authorities to investigate the death of his sister after the torture.

A video emerged a few days ago showing a police officer torturing a woman on a train. In the disturbing video, the woman can be heard pleading, "Why are you beating me? Don't beat me!"

The footage sparked outrage on social media, and the officer involved was subsequently arrested.

A local court in Hyderabad approved bail for policeman Mir Hassan on Saturday, following his arrest for assaulting a woman and her children on a train.

Judicial Magistrate Munir Ahmed granted bail to the suspect against the surety bond of Rs35,000.
