A young man in Faisalabad lost his life after being abducted and brutally tortured over accusations of petty theft of a cricket bat.

The Faisalabad police have launched an inquiry and arrested one suspect involved in the horrific killing of 21-year-old Osama, who had been accused of stealing a cricket bat. Osama, a resident of Gulberg Colony, was reportedly abducted by a group of men on Thursday and subjected to extreme violence.

According to police accounts, the abductors held Osama captive for three agonizing hours, during which he was savagely beaten with iron rods, sticks, and batons. The severe torture left him critically injured. The suspects then contacted Osama's father, demanding that the allegedly stolen cricket bat be returned as a condition for his release.

Osama's father rushed to the location but was devastated to find his son gravely wounded. Despite immediate efforts to save him, Osama succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Following a complaint filed by Osama's grieving mother, police have registered a case against three identified and eight unidentified suspects.

One of the suspects, identified as Shahan, has been arrested, while the others remain at large. The authorities are continuing their investigation to apprehend all involved in the gruesome crime.

Osama, who was the only son of his parents, leaves behind three sisters. His tragic death has sparked outrage in the community.
