Arshad Nadeem reveals he was offered to leave Pakistan after 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Pakistan javelin ace Arshad Nadeem, who made the country proud by winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, revealed that he was offered to leave the country after Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
"But, I refused the offer," the 27-year-old athlete said in an interview with senior journalist Hamid Mir.
"Many countries offered me to join their team, but I love the soil of my country even when I go abroad for training, I request Sir Salman Iqbal Butt to send me there for just a month or two because I love this soil," he mentioned.
At this, the renowned anchor person lauded the sportsman for rejecting foreign offers and serving the country, which Mir believes is important for the youth.
" I decided to remain in Pakistan and Alhamdulillah God not just blessed me with the title of Champion at the Paris Olympics but also I shattered the records there," Arshad responded.
"If we get world-class facilities, we can make the name of Pakistan shine all over the world," he added.
In the interview, Arshad's mother, Razia Parveen, expressed her desire to invite Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra to visit her home in Mian Channu.
The national hero won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 with a record-breaking javelin throw of 92.97 meters on August 8.
His rival, Indian sportsman Neeraj Chopra, secured a silver medal with a throw of 89.45 meters.
