Babar Azam becomes fastest batter to score 10,000 T20 runs

Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam achieved another milestone by becoming the fastest batsman to score 10,000 runs in twenty-twenty format.
The star player has become the first batter to add this feat to his cap in less than 280 innings.
Babar crossed this milestone in just 271 innings, becoming the 13th to score 10,000 runs.
He broke the record during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday.
The record was previously held by West Indies power-hitter Chris Gayle who smashed the runs in 285 innings.
However, Gayle still holds the record of the first batter to score 14,562 runs in T20, followed by Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik, who has hit 13,159 runs.
The 29-year-old Peshawar Zalmi skipper has played for 19 teams in a short-overs format. in which he scored 3,698 runs for the national side and 2,398 for the Kings.
Babar also has the achievement of only player to score over 3,000 runs in PSL.
