The ICC Champions Trophy's future is uncertain due to India's refusal to play in Pakistan, sparking debate in the cricket world.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rejected the hybrid model, insisting that if India won't play on Pakistani soil, Pakistan won't play at a neutral location with India.

The PCB wants the tournament to proceed as scheduled in Pakistan.

However, Indian media suggests the ICC might hold semifinals and finals at a neutral venue to accommodate both teams, adding pressure due to the delayed schedule release.

This isn't the first time India-Pakistan cricketing ties have been affected by political tensions. The two nations have a complex history, with cricketing relations suspended multiple times due to conflicts and terrorist attacks.

The ICC has considered hybrid models before, like in the Asia Cup 2023, where some matches were played in Pakistan and others in Sri Lanka.

The PCB has proposed alternative solutions, but the impasse remains.

The emergency meeting on November 26 will discuss the tournament's format and organization, aiming to find a mutually acceptable solution.
