India, which had recently disregarded the true spirit of sportsmanship after defeating Pakistan in the Asia Cup, was soon taught a lesson on the sporting stage.
Immediately after their latest clash, players from both sides not only shook hands but also exchanged gestures of goodwill.
This moment unfolded during the Commonwealth Beach Handball Championship, where Pakistan outclassed its traditional rival India in the opening match.
Pakistan secured a dominant 2-0 victory, with scorelines of 26-9 and 34-12.
Ahmed Hussain, who delivered an outstanding performance, was declared the Man of the Match.
In the championship, Pakistan is scheduled to face the Maldives and Sri Lanka later today.
It is worth noting that during the recent Asia Cup encounter, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav avoided shaking hands with Pakistan’s captain Salman Ali Agha at the toss, drawing criticism for his unsporting behavior.
These pictures will surely haunt Indian hatemongers tonight, their handball team showing the sportsmanship their cricketers failed to. Sorry hatemongers, your handball team ruined your script by shaking hands with Pakistan, proving sportsmanship is alive, just not in your cricket… pic.twitter.com/HpDVBE4bun
