Former Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) director, Muhammad Hafeez, claimed that his "valuable gifts" were stolen en route to Lahore from New York.
The sad news was shared by the 43-year-old crickter on his official handle on the microblogging site X.
"I started my journey from New York [John F. Kennedy International Airport] to Lahore on March 26. On my arrival in Lahore when I received luggage I noticed my suitcase was damaged and my valuable items and gifts were stolen away from the bag," Hafeez said in a post.
The former all-rounder said that he complained about the incident to the private airline's counter at Lahore International Airport.
"But no reply from them and [the] customer service cell number is not in operation," Hafeez added.
"Poor service with zero customer care."
In another post, Hafeez responded to the airline's reply, which was later deleted by the carrier.
"Which relevant team u talking about??? There is no office and on Etihad website given cell number is not in operation. If u have any relevant team cell number or email address plz share," Hafeez wrote.
However, further details of the incident were not provided by the ex-cricket body's chief.
