New Zealand clinched a narrow victory over Pakistan by a margin of four runs in the fourth T20I at Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday.
Tim Robinson's impressive half-century set the stage for New Zealand's success, backed by William O'Rourke's exceptional bowling display.
Chasing a target of 179 runs, Pakistan faced early setbacks, losing three wickets within the power play, leaving them at 48 runs.
However, Fakhar Zaman initiated a spirited recovery, forging crucial partnerships with Shadab Khan (7) and Iftikhar Ahmed (23). Zaman showcased his prowess with a commanding 61 off 45 deliveries, embellished with seven boundaries, including three towering sixes.
Despite Zaman's valiant efforts, Pakistan fell short in the final overs. Imad Wasim attempted to steer the innings but could not carry his team over the finish line, ending unbeaten on 22 off 11 balls. With 18 runs needed off the last over, Pakistan managed only 13, concluding their innings at 174/8 in 20 overs.
O'Rourke spearheaded New Zealand's bowling attack with three crucial wickets, while Ben Sears also made significant contributions with figures of 2-27.
