Noman Ali, Pakistan's 38-year-old spinner, has been nominated for the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for October 2024.
His magical spells in the Test series against England were instrumental in Pakistan's stellar comeback and series win.
With 20 wickets at an average of 13.85 in the second and third Tests, Noman proved to be a game-changer. His match figures of 11/147 and 9/130 were particularly impressive, helping Pakistan overturn their defeat in the first Test and end their three-year drought for a Test series win at home.
But that's not all - Noman also showcased his batting skills in the third Test, scoring a crucial 45 runs to give Pakistan a 77-run lead in the first innings.
And with the ball, he wrapped up the match with a six-wicket haul, bowling England out for just 112. What a performance!
Noman isn't the only one in the running for the award, though. South Africa's Kagiso Rabada and New Zealand's Mitchell Santner have also been nominated .
Rabada's impressive display with the ball in the two Tests against Bangladesh earned him a spot, while Santner played a key role in New Zealand's series win against India.
