Video of cops snatching Palestine flags from spectators during PSL match draws ire

A video of cops snatching Palestine flags from spectators during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine match went viral on social media, drawing criticism from netizens.

The incident reportedly occurred during a play-off match between Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi on Thursday (March 15) at the National Stadium in Karachi.

In the viral footage, a police constable tasked with ensuring the safety of the audience was seen confiscating a Palestine flag from an individual.

Another spectator also displayed a flag of the conflict-ridden nation, which was seized by another law enforcement officer.

However, attendees at the match showed support for the flag bearers by chanting slogans in their favour.

Earlier, a similar incident was reported during a match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings on Monday (March 11), where a man was forced to leave the ground for raising a Palestine flag.
