7-month-old baby girl dies in Gaza's cold

The humanitarian crisis has worsened as severe cold adds to the suffering caused by ongoing Israeli strikes and displacement of people in Gaza.

A seven-month-old baby girl died due to extreme cold weather, according to a report, bringing the number of children who have died due to freezing conditions in Gaza to nine this winter. 

Millions of Palestinians, currently, are living in makeshift tents with little access to heating, electricity and proper shelter as temperatures drop sharply.

The crisis intensifies in Gaza with increase in cold weather, displacement of people due to constant ceasefire violations by Israel and with limited aid allowed in Gaza. All these factors combined are proving deadly for infants and the elderly, urging immediate international intervention to ensure shelter, fuel, and medical aid.
