Israel's bombardment continues in Gaza, with an airstrike on a school-turned-shelter resulting in the deaths of 10 Palestinians, including a child who was burned to death in his sleep.
As per reports, a child's body recovered from the debris was burned beyond recognition.
“Children are being burned while they sleep in the tents of the displaced,” Qatar-based news platform Al Jazeera quoted its correspondent as saying.
“There are no safe areas and no survivors of this genocide. Gaza City and its northern areas have been subjected to heavy Israeli shelling and artillery fire for hours.”
Alongside the bombardment, Israeli forces arrested at least 16 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, following a raid in the village of Kobar, north of Ramallah.
The detained individuals include Hanan Barghouti, who was previously imprisoned.

59-year-old Hanan is the sister of Nael Barghouti, who spent at least 44 years in Israeli imprisonment and was exiled to Egypt in February. She also spent nine months in administrative detention in Israel without any charges last year.
Israeli forces also reportedly carried out arrests in ad-Dhahiriya, south of Hebron.
Meanwhile, Israeli bombardments targeted residential areas on Old Gaza Street in Jabalia al-Balad and al-Nakheel Street in Gaza City's Tuffah neighbourhood, causing additional casualties.
Additionally, reports indicate that Israeli troops are destroying residences in eastern Gaza City and southern Rafah to enlarge their designated "security zones."
Rafah has been surrounded and isolated from the remainder of the Gaza Strip as Israel escalates its campaign against Hamas.
The Gaza Ministry of Health stated that at least 51,266 Palestinians have lost their lives and 116,991 injured in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.
