In the midst of war and destruction, an extraordinary tale of unity and compassion has emerged in Lebanon.
Christians and Muslims have put aside their differences to stand together against Israel's aggression, forging an unbreakable bond.
The alliance has become the defining identity of Lebanon, showing the nation's resilience.
In Beirut, a remarkable example of this unity can be seen in the selfless efforts of Rita, a Christian woman, and her Muslim friend Ayah.
Alongside their colleagues, they cook and distribute food to hundreds of war victims daily.
Recently, senior journalist Hamid Mir visited Rita and Ayah's kitchen to witness their humanitarian work firsthand.

Ayah, who is a supporter of Hezbollah, shared her heart-wrenching story with Hamid Mir.
"After my house was destroyed by Israeli bombing, I was facing numerous problems in the area," she recounted.
"That's when I came to Rita, and despite being from different faiths, she opened her heart and home to me."
Ayah expressed her gratitude for Rita's shelter and their joint efforts to aid war victims.
"We're not just helping those affected by the war; we're building bridges between communities," Rita said.
Israel has killed almost 2,119 people and injured 1,019 other since October 8, 2023, in Lebanon.
Recently, Netanyahu's government has assassinated Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike on Beirut.
A day earlier, Netanyahu warned that Lebanon could face destruction on the same scale as Gaza if it "continues down its current path".
"You have an opportunity to save Lebanon before it falls into the abyss of a long war that will lead to destruction and suffering like we see in Gaza," he said in a video message.
Previously, the Israeli army had made the same claims that it had killed likely Hezbollah chief Hashem Safieddine in an airstrike on Beirut.
