The Indian tourist, known online as Malik Swashbuckler, apologised for his abusive language after being arrested in Turkiye.
Malik verbally abused shopkeepers in Turkiye for not having Indian flags. He also made offensive sexual remarks to women in Hindi while filming the video.
Following widespread outrage triggered by his viral videos users, he was arrested by Turkish authorities.
Malik shared a written post and a video of his apology on Instagram after deleting all content from his social media accounts.

“I apologise with all my heart. I never intended to hurt or upset anyone. If my words or actions hurt anyone, please know that it was completely unintentional. I am truly heartbroken to know I upset people. I have taken time to reflect and I promise to be much more careful from now on. With respect and love... I truly, sincerely apologise,” the English translation of his post read.
The Indian tourist had filmed his trip to Turkiye, sharing a series of videos on YouTube.
Turkish users reportedly flagged his content, which depicted him walking with Turkish women and hurling explicit remarks about them in Hindi on camera.
The women, acting as his tour guides, were reportedly unaware of the offensive comments. Social media users widely condemned Malik's behavior, demanding action from authorities.
Several far-right Indian social media users called for a boycott of Turkey after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan supported Pakistan in a recent military conflict. The Indian government subsequently canceled contracts with Turkish companies but maintained diplomatic ties.
