Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Sunday that Tehran will rebuild its damaged nuclear facilities “stronger than before.”
Speaking during a visit to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Pezeshkian met with senior officials in the nuclear sector and addressed the recent US airstrikes that targeted Iranian sites in June.
He said the destruction of facilities would not hinder Iran’s progress, asserting that the nation would restore them with even greater resilience.
His remarks came after US President Donald Trump warned that he would authorize new attacks if Tehran attempts to restart any of the sites hit earlier this year. Washington has claimed the targeted facilities were linked to a weapons program, an allegation Iran continues to reject.
Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran’s nuclear activities are aimed at peaceful, civilian purposes, including medical and health-related applications, and are not intended for military use.
