Muslim graveyard desecrated with severed pig heads in Australia

A Muslim graveyard has been desecrated with severed pig heads tossed at graves in Australia. The incident came following a deadly shooting on Sydney's Bondi Beach.

A video showed pig heads and other animal remains at a Muslim graveyard in Narellan, located in south-western Sydney.

The incident occurred a day after a mass shooting at Bondi Beach, according to local news website news.com.au.

The police said that they received information about animal remains dumped at the entrance of a graveyard on Richardson Road. Officers who arrived at the scene found several pig heads and began an investigation.

Authorities later removed the remains and said efforts were underway to identify those responsible.

The desecration came a day after two gunmen — a 50-year-old man and his 24-year-old son — opened fire along Bondi Beach on Sunday evening. The attack left 15 people dead and 42 others injured, who were taken to hospital.

Police said one of the shooters was killed, while the other was critically wounded. The incident was described by authorities as a terrorist act.
