Nutella creator Francesco Rivella dies at 97

Italian chemist Francesco Rivella, widely recognized for his contributions to the development of Nutella, has passed away at the age of 97, according to multiple news reports.
He died on February 14, ten years after the passing of Michele Ferrero, the former head of Ferrero SpA.
Rivella played a significant role in the success of Ferrero, the Italian confectionery company known for Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, and other popular products. He worked closely with Michele Ferrero for over four decades, helping to bring numerous innovations to the market.
Often referred to as the "wizard" of the company's research and development division, Rivella was instrumental in transforming ideas into products that became widely recognized in the confectionery industry.

He joined Ferrero in 1952 at the age of 25 and contributed to the development of several well-known brands, including Kinder Chocolate, Kinder Bueno, and Raffaello.
