Putin kisses Holy Quran before gifting it to Prophet Isa Mosque in Chechnya

Russian President Vladimir Putin made a historic visit to Chechnya on Tuesday, his first trip to the North Caucasus region since 2011.
During his visit, Putin met with Chechnya's leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, at his residence.
The meeting was followed by a packed program of events, including a visit to the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes, where Putin spoke with special military operation volunteers.
At the new Prophet Isa Mosque in Grozny, Putin was honoured as an honorary citizen of the republic.
Ramzan Kadyrov and Chechnya's Mufti, Salah Nejiev, presented him with the insignia and certificate.

In a symbolic gesture, Putin gifted a handcrafted Quran in an exquisite binding to the mosque.
He also kissed the sacred book before handing it over, showcasing his respect for the Islamic faith.
