Saudi Arabia on Thursday strongly condemned Iran's repeated attacks on Jordan, reaffirming its full support for the kingdom and calling for an immediate end to what it described as Iranian aggression.
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said it condemned "in the strongest terms" Iran's continued attacks against the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, describing them as a violation of international law and the principles of good neighbourliness.
The Kingdom reaffirmed its solidarity with Jordan and its people, backing all measures taken by Amman in response to the attacks.
The statement also stressed the need for the immediate cessation of Iran's attacks on Jordan and other countries in the region, urging serious steps to safeguard regional security and stability.
Since the conflict escalated in the Middle East, Iran has launched multiple drone and missile attacks targeting countries in the region, including Jordan. Earlier on Thursday, Jordan's armed forces said they intercepted and shot down five Iranian missiles fired towards the country.
