The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia has announced that registration for Itikaf at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah will open on March 5.

According to Saudi Gazette, the registration process will begin at 11 AM (local time) through the authority’s official website.

Applications will be accepted until all allocated slots are filled, with permits issued online based on specific conditions and criteria.

Itikaf, a deeply spiritual practice observed during Ramazan, involves seclusion in a mosque for uninterrupted worship and prayer during the last ten days of the holy month.

This year, Itikaf will commence on Ramazan 20 (March 20) and continue until the end of the month.

Following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Itikaf offers an opportunity for spiritual reflection and a deeper connection with Allah.

With Ramazan beginning on March 1 in Saudi Arabia and March 2 in Pakistan, thousands of worshippers are expected to participate in this sacred tradition at the two holy mosques.
