Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the Umrah season calendar for 1448 AH as part of preparations to welcome pilgrims arriving from outside the Kingdom.

The ministry said the schedule outlines key operational phases and deadlines for Umrah companies, overseas agents and pilgrims ahead of the new season.

According to the announced timeline, preliminary agreements between Umrah companies and international agents began on March 4, 2026. This was followed by the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum and the signing of initial agreements on March 30.

Preparatory meetings for the upcoming season were held on May 5, while the qualification and final contracting process for overseas agents took place on May 11.

The ministry said service contracts and pilgrimage packages are currently being finalised through the electronic platform before the launch of Umrah visa issuance on May 31, 2026, corresponding to 14 Dhu Al Hijjah 1447 AH.

Under the new calendar, pilgrims with Umrah visas will be allowed to enter Makkah and obtain permits from June 1, 2026.

The ministry also announced that March 9, 2027, will be the final date for issuing Umrah visas, while March 23, 2027, has been set as the deadline for pilgrims entering the kingdom. Pilgrims must depart Saudi Arabia by April 7, 2027.

Officials said the updated calendar is part of broader efforts to simplify procedures and improve services for pilgrims through digital systems and integrated operational planning.
