Sheikh Maher Al-Mu'aiqly to deliver Hajj sermon this year

Sheikh Maher Al-Mu'aiqly has been appointed as Hajj Khateeb to deliver the sermon on the day of Arafat this year.
He was given the sacred responsibility by the Royal House of Saudi Arabia.

Maher bin Hamad bin Muhammad Bin al-Mu'aiqly al-Balawi is an Imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
He also served as the prayer leader for two years in 2003 and 2004 at the Prophet's Mosque in Medina.
In 2005, Sheikh Maher led Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers at Masjid al-Haram for the first time and was appointed as an an official Imam of the Grand Mosque in the same year.
The Islamic lunar calendar ends with Zil Hajj, the month when Muslims from around the world visit Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj in Makkah's Grand Mosque and other locations in the city including Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
Muslims across the globe will celebrate Eid ul Adha on the 10th day of Zil Hajj, after completing all the pillars of pilgrimage.
The astronomers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) said that the Day of Arafat, the ninth day of Hajj, will fall on June 16. The Gulf country is expected to mark Eid-ul-Adha on June 17.
