Tajikistan’s renowned singer and social media star, Abdu Rozik—known as the world’s shortest singer—has been released on conditional bail following his arrest at Dubai International Airport.
According to Arab media, Abdu Rozik, who gained fame through Season 16 of the Indian reality show Bigg Boss, was taken into custody on Saturday morning upon his return from the European country of Montenegro. His PR team confirmed the arrest.
While the exact nature of the complaint against Rozik remains unclear, a representative of his team informed Arab media that he was allegedly arrested on charges of theft. However, the representative declined to provide further details, and Dubai authorities have yet to issue any official statement.
New reports, citing unnamed sources, claim that Rozik has now been released on bail with a travel ban in place. However, these reports have not been independently verified, and Dubai officials and police have so far refrained from commenting on the matter.
Meanwhile, Abdu Rozik’s official social media account posted a photo from a recent event held in Dubai, showing him receiving an award.
