Australian Test cricketer Usman Khawaja has once again raised his voice against the ongoing Israeli atrocities targeting unarmed Palestinians, particularly children.
Khawaja, who has consistently spoken out against the violence inflicted on innocent lives, recently posted a harrowing video on his Instagram account showing injured Palestinian children in the aftermath of Israeli airstrikes.
In an emotional caption accompanying the video, the cricketer wrote, “It’s hard to watch. Imagine living like this. We are still witnessing this brutality and violence. UNICEF has called it a graveyard for children.”
He further expressed his anguish, stating, “It’s been two years, and children are still being killed. People are being starved. Even first aid centers are under attack.”
Reaffirming his commitment to speaking out, Khawaja added, “I will continue to raise my voice. If we start accepting this as normal, then we’ve truly lost our humanity. Don’t stop speaking out. Always stand for humanity, equality, and a better tomorrow.”
It is worth noting that since October 2023, Israeli strikes in Gaza have killed over 58,000 Palestinians and left more than 140,000 injured.
