Former Indian army chief General Manoj Naravane has stated that war is not a romantic notion but a very serious matter, and it should not be viewed like a Bollywood movie.

Following Pakistan Air Force's successful airstrikes, Indian military and political figures have begun to criticize their own media.

General Naravane expressed his disappointment at the situation and lashed out at Indian media for promoting war hysteria.

He emphasized that war should always be the last resort, only when all other options have been exhausted—highlighting that this is why the Indian government prioritized a ceasefire.

"This is a temporary ceasefire. We will have to observe how the situation evolves in the coming days and weeks," he said.

The former Army Chief stressed that considering the cost and devastating consequences of war, a wise leader is one who makes timely decisions to prevent irreparable damage.

Earlier, Indian armed forces rejected claims made by their own journalists that Pakistani drones had been spotted over the Samba area in IIOJK on Monday, just after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent speech about the ongoing conflict.

Senior Indian journalist Barkha Dutt accused Pakistan of deploying drones over the Samba region of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir following what she called Modi's “big speech” on the Pakistan-India conflict.
