Popular British singer Louis Tomlinson signed a marriage certificate by mistake while giving an autograph to a female fan.
The picture of the autographed marriage certificate went viral on social media.
The vocalist recently visited Indonesia, where a passionate crowd of fans gathered to see him perform live.
As singer Louis Tomlinson approached his fans, they passed out notebooks and t-shirts for autographs, while a female fan took a unique autograph from the singer.
A female fan extended an official marriage certificate for an autograph, and the ‘Two of Us’ singer signed the document.
According to the media reports, the certificate that singer Louis signed was a marriage certificate from the Republic of Indonesia, and the deed had the photo and signature of singer Louis and the female fan.
Later, the female fan posted a photo of her and singer Louis's marriage certificate on social media and expressed her happiness.
"I went there as a single woman, right? I [didn't] have any boyfriend, fiancé, or something like that. But I got back from there as a married woman because [Louis] signed a marriage certificate," the fan said in a TikTok video.
However, singer Louis Tomlinson's signed "marriage certificate" holds no legal weight in Indonesia, as marriages require official ceremonies, as explained by the US Embassy & Consulates in Indonesia.
In a TikTok video shared by the same female fan, the ex-One Direction member inquired about the authenticity of a document. He asked, "It’s official, is that right?” To which, the fan responded that the marriage certificate was official. The popstar then signed the document.
"You should come here more often," the fan told him as he signed the autograph. Then Tomlinson quipped, "Well, I have to. If my wife wants to, I have to."
A singer, songwriter, and producer from England, Louis Tomlinson rose to fame as part of the iconic boy band ‘One Direction.’
