In a bizarre trend, working professionals in China's Fujian province are using online platforms to sell their stressful jobs, difficult bosses, and annoying colleagues, according to the South China Morning Post.

Alibaba’s second-hand e-commerce platform, Xianyu, has seen numerous listings pop up, with prices ranging from 4 to 9 million yuan for selling toxic bosses, bad jobs, and obnoxious co-workers to wash off the work smell.

"The term work smell refers to the feeling of mental and physical exhaustion after a long day of work," the publication said.

One employee jokingly listed a co-worker for 3,999 yuan, promising to teach buyers how to deal with sarcastic comments from the 'human product'.

''Selling a colleague who is very good at being sarcastic for 3,999 yuan. I can teach you how to deal with this colleague and offer 10 tips to avoid being the scapegoat at work,'' he wrote in the post.

Another person listed his "terrible" boss for 500 yuan, saying he criticises him every time which causes him stress.

However, it's important to note that these listings are meant as a joke, and sellers ensure that no real transactions take place.

If someone buys one of these listings, the seller usually cancels the deal or refuses the purchase.

The trend is a creative way for workers to cope with the mental and physical stress of their jobs.
